Calling all onchain enjoyoors!

Wintermute Alpha Challenge 2025 is coming with a new format, tougher problems, and a thrilling new onchain PvP competition.

While we've taken inspiration from the classic CTF format, we've given it a Wintermute spin to create something uniquely suited to exploring onchain execution and crypto market scenarios. Last year's Alpha Challenge was our initial experiment, testing the waters and figuring out what works best while looking for exceptional talent. It turned out well, as two of last year's winners joined our research team and directly contributed to this year's edition.

This year, the main aim is to create a learning experience for people who enjoy improving DeFi market efficiency, dissecting crypto exploits, and tackling practical tasks inspired by real market events. Consider it your chance to flex your skills in a realistic and competitive environment. And while not our primary goal this year, we're still keeping an eye out for standout talent, so if we see a good fit, joining our team is always an option.

What we've prepared:

• Week 1 (August 20 to September 3): Technical challenges
  • You'll explore protocol behaviors, analyze market movements, and deal with recent crypto market scenarios. Tasks include coding, digging into blockchain explorers, decoding complex DeFi logic, and more.
• Week 2 (August 27 to September 3): PvP onchain game
  • Compete directly against others in a simulated trading environment. You'll actively manage your positions, responding to live market dynamics to achieve the highest possible P&L.

Throughout the challenge, our team will be available in the dedicated Telegram group to provide support and answer any questions.

How to participate:

• Register via the challenge’s website - registrations are open until August 27
• Prepare for the challenge by reviewing last year's challenge tasks
• Solve the first week’s tasks and then gear up for the PvP competition
